I recently stumbled upon a Japanese movie that I really enjoyed. The movie Princess Jellyfish is about Tsukimi a plain, shy and jellyfish obsessed girl. Who lives her life as a jobless illustrator in Tokyo with roommates who harbor die hard hobbies that solidify their status as hopeless social rejects. The girls live isolation and have a nun like a rule about men in the house however one day after Tsukimi brings home a rescued sea jelly and a fashion queen... who's actually a guy. But when the threat of losing their cozy convent inspires this glamour boy to turn the neurotic entourage into a portrait of success, will Tsukimi take her chance to bloom, or will she end up a hot mess?
I found the story very enjoyable and the characters lovable and give it a 7 out of 10.
