Idle Mermaid Review

I found a new k-drama with one of my favorite mythical beings, mermaids.
The drama is called Idle Mermaid or Surplus Princess and it follows the story Aileen who is a mermaid princess who is in love with Kwon Shi-kyung, a human celebrity chef. While recording a TV show next to the Han River, Shi-kyung hits his head and falls into the river, and Aileen stops him from drowning by kissing him underwater. Shi-kyung is pulled out from the water by Yoon Jin-ah, an intern who works for and is also in love with Shi-kyung. In order to meet Shi-kyung again, Aileen steals a magic potion from the male witch Ahn Ma-nyeo, and is transformed into a human girl. It's only after her transformation that Aileen learns that she has 100 days to find true love, or else she will die and turn into bubbles. Ahn Ma-nyeo helps Aileen by setting her up with the fake identity of "Kim Ha-ni," and sends her to live in a house in Seoul with other young people, most of whom are unemployed and searching for jobs. Among Aileen's new housemates is Lee Hyun-myung, Yoon Jin-ah's ex-boyfriend who is trying to win her back. With her new friends to help her, Aileen vows to find a way to win Shi-kyung's love, but in the end she falls in love with Hyun-myung. Although she initially disappears once her 100 days are up, she returns a year later to see her friends again.
The drama is fun and witty I give it a 8-10.

Otomen Review

I recently found a Japanese drama based off one of my favorite manga series ''Otomen''. The story centers around the popular high school boy Masamune Asuka, the top kendo fighter in the nation. However, beneath his cool exterior, he is actually fond of sweets and shojo manga, and is skilled in sewing and cooking. When he instantly falls for the transfer student Miyakozuka Ryo (who looks pretty, she is as tough as nails and can't cook to save her life!), his secret is in danger of being exposed. The drama is just as additive the manga too bad its only 12 episode I give it 7-10

Hyde, Jekyll, and I Reveiw

I found yet another k-drama to enjoy its called Hyde, Jekyll, I and it follow Gu Seo-jin a third-generation chaebol who runs the theme park, Wonderland. Seo-jin seemingly has everything — looks, brains, and fortune. He is also in line to become the next CEO Wonder Group, the conglomerate his family owns, though his cousin Ryu Seung-yeon, who oversees Wonder Hotel is his rival for the position. But Seo-jin has dissociative identity disorder. Whenever his heart rate exceeds 150, another personality emerges, and unlike Seo-jin's usual cold, cynical and ruthless self, Robin is kind, gentle and has a savior complex. This split personality began 15 years ago, and Seo-jin's doctor Kang Hee-ae believes that Robin is a manifestation of his guilt regarding a traumatic incident then. Because of this, Seo-jin avoids anything that might cause him to have a strong physical or emotional reaction which could trigger Robin's reappearance, even if that means shutting himself away from the world and eschewing any meaningful relationships. Jang Ha na, has just returned to Korea after spending several years in the United States with Cirque du Soleil.  Like her grandfather and father before her, she is set to take over as circus master of the circus show at Wonder Land, which had once been the park's primary attraction. Ha-na vows to save the failing circus and dreams of revamping it back to its former glory, but she finds herself butting heads with Seo-jin, who wants to get rid of it due to low ticket sales and high overhead costs. But with every antagonistic encounter with Ha-na, Seo-jin notes the alarming spike on his heart monitor, and the two become further embroiled with each other. After Dr. Kang tells Seo-jin she has found a cure for his condition, she gets kidnapped by a mysterious assailant who almost succeeds in killing Ha-na, making her the only witness. However, the traumatic experience has caused Ha-na to block out the man's face, and she goes to Dr. Kang's student, hypnotherapist Yoon Tae-joo , to help her remember. With Ha-na's life in danger, the more Robin appears and the more she falls for him, to Seo-jin's dismay. The show is awesome and i cant wait to see how it goes so far I give it a 8-10.
